About Sea Pines
Sea Pines Plantation was the first of the modern Hilton Head Island communities and served as the model for the other communities which were to follow. It is the largest of all the Hilton Head Island communities, and boasts two marinas, four miles of beaches, the Sea Pines Racquet Club—home to some of the best tennis training programs in the nation—and Harbour Town Golf Links, where you can play on the same course used by the pros during the PGA tour.
Sea Pines Plantation started in 1956 with a pioneering master plan created by its founder, Charles Fraser. Charles created an innovative model for local resort communities that has not only influenced the design of Hilton Head Island, but for resorts worldwide. Sea Pines spans over 5,200 acres and is one of the largest residential and resort plantations on Hilton Head Island. Best known for its wide, sandy beaches, Sea Pines has three championship golf courses that include the home of the PGA Tour’s annual Verizon Heritage, Harbour Town Golf Links. Nestled alongside the Harbour Town Golf Links is the Harbour Town Marina. This is home to the recognizable landmark red and white striped lighthouse. Built in 1969, the lighthouse aided boats traveling the Calibogue Sound and the Intracoastal Waterway. Today the lighthouse is open to the public and overlooks an extraordinary harbor filled with awe-inspiring yachts. Lining the marina are charming shops and restaurants. Sea Pines Plantation has a variety of homes, villas, and townhomes with a variety of views of golf courses, woods, lagoons and ocean front.
Seemingly endless amenities include the Sea Pines Racquet Club, South Beach Marina, 605 acres of forest preserve, miles of bike paths, Lawton Stables Equestrian Center, numerous pools and five miles of Atlantic Ocean beaches. This is the plantation for everyone to enjoy. Sea Pines is a true paradise for the occasional visitor or cherished permanent resident. TSG
