Sun City Hilton Head Amenities
Sun City Hilton Head has many convenient amenities located throughout the lowcountry.
Some of the best medical facilities in South Carolina are just a short drive away from the
security gates. Sun City is also very close to two local colleges, University of South Carolina -
New River campus and the Technical College of the Lowcountry. There is also a wide variety
of shopping and services in the area and in the surrounding communities of Bluffton, Beaufort,
Savannah, GA and Hilton Head Island.

- Ambulance service and fire stations are located on-site.
- Five major hospitals and one Military hospital are located within
30-miles of Sun City.
- Hilton Head Medical Center & Clinics opened the Bluffton-Okatie Outpatient Center in January 1999. It is a $ 4.9 Million, 40,000 square-foot Health Care Center.
- The Bluffton-Okatie Outpatient Center offers a variety of Physician services, Primary Care Clinics, Physical Therapy, Outpatient Surgery Center, Community Education and wellness programs.
- The Coastal Carolina Medical Center is now open and just minutes from the Sun City Hilton Head main entrance.

- A regional campus of the University of South Carolina, the
New River Campus is a four-year facility constructed on 80 Acres
and attracts nearly 1,800 students from the Beaufort and Hilton Head Island areas, in addition to those enrolled from 23 Nations. |

| Shopping & Services: |

- Extensive and widely-varied shopping and services options are
located in the area and in the surrounding communities of Bluffton, Beaufort, Savannah, GA and Hilton Head Island.
- The Okatie Center, a 268-acre shopping & commercial center is under construction adjacent to Sun City Hilton Head. Facilities
will include a Grocery store, retail outlets, hotels, restaurants,
banks, medical services and professional services. Currently
there are many businesses open including the Bluffton-Okatie outpatient center, a 100 room Hampton Inn, Restaurants, banks
and more! The Okatie Center is accessible from Sun City by
golf cart or automobile.
- The New River Center, a 210-acre commercial and mixed-use
project, is also under construction. There is currently a 152,000
square-foot Wal-Mart Super Center which includes a 40,000
square-foot grocery store, bank and car-care center. The New
River Center also has a gas station, car wash and many services.
Additional projects include a 150,000 square-foot retail center,
banks, fast food, sit-down restaurants and a hotel.
- The new Berkeley Place shopping center on Buckwalter Parkway
is home to The Sea Turtle Cinemas movie theatre, many restaurants, a bank, a fitness center and many retail stores.
- The newly opened Buckwalter Place shopping center includes
a new Publix grocery store, a liquor store, restaurants and a few
retail stores. |
